StormLite | Crescent Sensor Wall Light

A wall light is read twice: once as an object in daylight, and once as a shape made of light after dark. This one is drawn as a crescent — a black arc that springs from a central wall bracket and curves out over itself, with the lit strip running along the underside so the light falls down the wall rather than out into the garden. Lit, it reads as a thin bright line bending through the dark.

Behind the acrylic diffuser sit fifteen COB LED beads, giving 980 lumens at 3000 K with a colour rendering index of 90 — high enough that brick, render and planting keep their actual colour instead of going flat and orange under it. The beam spreads across 180 degrees, washing the wall evenly to either side, and the module is rated at 30,000 hours. The housing is IP65, dust-tight and protected against water jets, and it wires to a 220 V supply.

This is the infrared sensor version at 12 W: it stays dark until someone approaches and then lifts, which is the sensible arrangement for a side passage, a back door or a set of steps that only need lighting when they are being used. It measures 29 cm across, 10 cm deep and 9 cm tall and weighs about a kilogram, so it holds a wall on its own but will still run as a pair either side of a door without crowding it.
