Sketch | Printed Canvas Storage Basket

A tall canvas basket in off-white, printed with a loose black pattern that looks drawn rather than designed. It stands up on its own when full and folds down flat when it is not, which is the whole argument for canvas over wicker.

It is 40 cm across and 50 cm tall, so it holds a full wash without becoming something you have to drag. Rope handles at the rim let you lift it with one hand from the bedroom to the machine. The rim rolls down if you want it shorter for a corner of a child's room, or stays up if you want the capacity.

It is not only for laundry. It takes blankets at the end of a sofa, toys that have to disappear before guests arrive, or firewood by a stove. On a plain floor the black print gives it enough presence to be left out rather than hidden in a cupboard.
