Three wall shelves in black metal and wood: a plain shelf with a metal frame beneath it, three times over. Nothing folds, adjusts or does anything clever.

They go up in a run, staggered, or stacked one above another in an alcove. Black keeps them visually quiet against a dark wall and deliberately graphic against a pale one. Books, a speaker, bottles, the contents of a hallway table that never had a hallway table.

Fix into something solid. Bracketed shelves carry their weight through a few points rather than along the whole span, and a fixing into plasterboard alone tends to let go eventually, usually while nobody is in the room.
