Quartet | Four-Compartment Steel Lunch Tray

Most lunch boxes make you choose between keeping things separate and keeping things simple. This one manages both. A square stainless tray is divided into four moulded sections, so a hot main, rice, a vegetable side and something sweet travel together without ending up in the same corner of the box.

The tray is 304 stainless steel. It does not stain from tomato, does not hold on to yesterday's curry, and comes clean with a rinse. The soft yellow outer shell gives it some grip and keeps the metal from feeling cold in your hand. The lid clips down on both sides, and a spoon and a pair of chopsticks come with it, so there is nothing extra to remember on the way out the door.

It suits the lunch you actually pack: rice with something on top, a vegetable side, a piece of fruit, last night's dinner portioned out before bed. The sections are deep enough that a sauce stays where you put it, and shallow enough that the whole thing still fits a normal bag.
