A 156 cm floor lamp with a drum shade on a slim chrome stem, threaded with four polished chrome spheres below the shade. The shade comes in black or white; the stem and the round base are chrome on both.

The light comes from a single E27 bulb (up to 60 W) under the Ø 38 cm fabric shade, which throws a soft glow down and out — enough to lift a dark corner or to sit beside for an evening. A foot switch on the cable turns it on and off, so there is no reaching under the shade.

The round base is only Ø 23.5 cm, so it fits behind a sofa arm or between a chair and a wall. The black shade makes it a deliberate object; the white one recedes against a pale wall.
