Cairn | Cube Wall Shelf, 68 cm

A cube wall shelf, 68 cm across, in white, Sonoma oak, concrete grey, old wood or black oak. It mounts flat to the wall and gives you a square opening with a shelf running through it — storage and display in the same piece of carpentry.

Hung on its own it works over a desk or beside a door, where a full shelving unit would crowd the floor. Two or three at staggered heights make a wall of them without the bulk of a bookcase.

The pale finishes recede; concrete grey and black oak sit forward and read as objects in their own right. Books, a plant, a speaker — it takes all three without looking overloaded.
